We're tenting at Mountaineer Shelter. It was a perfect day for hiking because the weather was cold enough for a jacket when you stopped but as soon as you started hiking you warmed up to a perfect temperature.
We saw a few more people on trail. There are six people staying in the shelter tonight. We heard there's about 25 behind us. I'm sure the southbounders that are down this far are going to try to be done right before thanksgiving like we are planning.
I hope it's easier to get up early tomorrow because we want to be ready to go early and plan on staying at Overmountain Shelter 18.4 miles away. We’ll see how that goes!
