We only hiked 5.4 miles to get to the road to get into Marion. On our way down we looked up the information for the bus that runs into town for 50 cents but found out it doesn't run on weekends! Luckily for us there was a guy leaving the parking area and offered us a ride into town! As soon as we got off the trail he offered to take us so it worked out perfect. His name was John and he dropped us off at the post office. Thanks John!!
We got our package and separated the food. We got a few more things from the grocery store and got some fast food before leaving town. I picked up some peppers from a farmers market right across from the post office. We got a ride from the post office to the laundromat and washed our clothes. On the way back to the trail Bubbles got us a ride from a lady in a truck.
We packed out Wendy's too. Toad met up with us and Kindling showed up at the Partnership Shelter. We were able to take a cold shower there.
Our plan is to try to get up early and hike around 20 miles. We are excited to get to Graceland Highlands and see the ponies. Fall is here the leaves are changing it is beautiful!
