I got up early and started boiling water for breakfast and coffee. We were on the trail by 7:00 a.m. After a few miles we ran into the group from Pennsylvania and the two girls, they were breaking camp. It was nice to run into them again and we ended up hiking off a side trail with the guys to some waterfalls. It was a 3 mile loop off trail but totally worth it. White Trash and Lazor Beams caught seven trout at Buttermilk Falls. Smudgy didn't go with us but we all met up at a campsite later that day. Tomorrow is going to be tough. We are going to need to ford a river. A really awesome thing that happened today was that we were able to see Katahdin off in the distance. It was a crazy feeling!
