I got up early and had coffee and cereal for breakfast. It’s funny eating a big bowl of Cinnamon Toast Crunch at 6:00 a.m. in the in the middle of the woods.
We came across the cave this morning and it was pretty cool. There was a huge overhang and a spot where I walked between two big rocks. It would've been perfect in the middle of a heavy rain!
We walked right past two shelters throughout the day, it felt pretty good to have the energy to keep going. We set up camp by East Branch Piscataquis River. There was enough room for two tents, which was perfect. We'll only have 6.7 miles to get into Monson tomorrow! It's awesome having a Nero going into a town day.
We're going to get up early so we can get into Monson early. We called today and reserved a few beds at Shaws. I'd like to get my laundry done early so I can enjoy the rest of the day.
