Sprout Day 119 (Sunday, July 24th, 2016)

We got up today at the Hiker’s Paradise Hostel, in Gorham, NH and got ready to hit the trail. The people that gave us a ride yesterday were up and said they'd take us to the trailhead. They even took us to Burger King so we could grab a breakfast sandwich before going up the Wildcats 🐯🐱!

We got on trail around 11. It was a tough day today, it was basically going straight up all day. We were using both hands and bear crawling up the mountain most of the day. It was a technical but fun hike. My legs and knees are letting me know I've been climbing up and down some steep mountains the past couple weeks. Yesterday we split off from Smudgy Cheeks. He had to go a different way because him and Flying Dutchman were a little ahead of us.

Smudgy ended up walking and got caught in a storm. He fell and sprained his ankle. We felt bad that we couldn't help him but he got to a campsite and was able to get his tent up. Once he was dry he was feeling better and so was I! We will be at the same campsite as him tomorrow.
