Sprout Day 110 (Friday, July 15th, 2016)

We woke up today at Chet's. He is such a cool and inspiring guy and I'm really glad we got to meet him. We got up early and did a load of laundry and took a shower. We also had to go through our food supply box and see what we had and what we needed from the store.

Sweets, from Hiker Hostel, dropped the box off two days ago. She picked it up from The Notch Hostel when she dropped someone off. The box then got sent back to The Notch Hostel before we showed up at Chet's. In the end we had to get a ride over to Notch Hostel to get our package, haha. It took us longer than expected to get ready and we still needed to get to the grocery store for a few more things.

We're hiking in a group of five now. Bubbles, Whiskers, Alice and her dog Jack, Mufasa, and I. Bubbles, Whiskers, and I went to the post office, family dollar, and price shopper then met back up with Alice and Mufasa at McDonald's. We ended up eating there and hanging out for awhile at the picnic tables and eventually got a ride from someone with a truck.

We weren't in a hurry. It was hot and humid and it felt good under the shade. By the time we got on the trail it was late so we decided to hike a couple miles and stealth camp.

We're going to get up at 5:00 am to get on the trail early and beat the heat. I'm looking forward to Franconian and all the views tomorrow, it's going to be a great day!
