Sprout Day 77 (Sunday, June 12th, 2016) (NEED PICTURES)

Today was a tough day for us because we left Mountain Man and Karma before their road trip across the USA. We've had fun with them the past couple days.  They have been slack packing Bubbles, Whiskers, and I for the past two days.  We went to Dunkin’ Doughnuts before they dropped us off at the trailhead. It took us awhile to say our goodbyes, we are really going to miss them.

Our hike wasn't too bad but it was a little difficult getting back into the swing of things with a full backpack on. We made it to the Cookie Ladies house today and met Roy and Marilyn, they are really nice people that live 100 yards off the trail. They're known for having cookies for the hikers! We got to the house and I saw Whiskers on the front porch. Roy came out and introduced himself and Marilyn came out and asked if we wanted some hot chocolate. They even invited us into their home to drink hot chocolate and eat our cookies. It was nice getting to know them and talking and sitting in a warm house for a little while. They were the nicest people and she can make some good cookies! We bought a can of coke and some hard boiled eggs too, delicious!
