I hiked 9.9 miles today to the next shelter. I had to stop in town and mail some extra things home. I've been carrying around the garter that I caught at the wedding last month! That needed to go home along with an extra ankle brace and my air brace for my ankle. I still have a brace for my bad ankle. I had to hike into and out of town 2.9 miles both ways!!
When I got back on the trail I wasn't far from the Vermont border and now I'm in Vermont! I can't wait for the big mountains and hills that are coming up! I'm getting closer and closer to the Whites in New Hampshire!
