Bubbles Day 59 (Wednesday, May 25th, 2016)

Today we got up, got packed, and got unpacked.  We are taking a zero!  Karma's knees are hurting her to the point of tears and my emotional day yesterday had me yearning for a day of relaxation and healing.  I was still crying in the morning and that made me feel lousy.  I did see Rabbit and he asked me to sign his trail passport.  It made me smile and brought a little happiness to my morning.

Sprout got up shortly after that and went to the Appalachian Deli to meet up with Nate before he had to be at work because I left my trekking poles in Jenny's car. I was a hot mess and Sprout and Nate saved the day.  Man I love them!!

Today's zero was phenomenal. It was just what I needed. We sat around the pavilion and listened to good music and enjoyed ourselves. The boys went to the Appalachian Deli and got pizza and treats for us. They got a bag of ice for Karma to ice her knees and swollen feet.  While they were gone Karma and I laid on two wooden tables that lay close to the ground (only about two inches off the ground.)  We laid on Sprout and my sleeping mats and I explained to Karma, through broken sentences and big tears, about my emotional day yesterday.  She made me feel much better.  I feel closer to her for understanding and being so kind to me.  She is an incredible person and I am so lucky to be hiking with her and Mountain Man.

I feel like today was our first true zero too. We had no errands that we had to run. No laundry to do. Nothing but relaxation and happiness!!  Karma and I went to the Appalachian Deli at 7pm for more pizza and treats.  We got a ride back from a super friendly man.  He was our hero.  We didn't want to walk back. Haha. We lied to the boys and told them that we walked SO FAST. Eventually I caved though and we told them the truth. It was a good night and I went to bed revived and happy.  I knew I would get there. I am just lucky I have a husband and friends to push me in the right direction.
