Bubbles Day 51 (Tuesday, May 17, 2016)

Today was a great day. It was a short day walking and we spent nearly the whole day with trail angels Ninja and Jpeg.  Both walked the PCT last year and Jpeg thru hiked the AT last year. They had their magic set up right off the trail in a state park next to a beautiful lake and close to bathrooms with toilets that flush. It's the little things in life.  JPEG made Sprout and I both hotdogs when we arrived and they were amazing. They had a spread of carrots, apples, nectarines, watermelon, cheese, Gatorade, beer, wine and sangria.

We sat with them for eight hours, laughing and chatting about hiking and their experiences hiking the PCT. They hiked for five months together and you could tell how much they cared for each other. It was one of our best days on the trail. Not because of the magic (I mean it was amazing) but because of the awesome new friends we met.

It was probably nice for Karma and Mountain Man too because Ninja is from their hometown in Switzerland and they got to speak Swiss German to someone besides each other. They had planned on meeting Ninja on the trial and we were blessed enough to be able to tag along. Ninja did a "gear shakedown" with mountain man and that was very interesting and cool to watch also. She also went through Karma's toiletries and medicine. Karma slipped things back into her bag that ninja put aside. JPEG was super sweet and very captivating. I loved to see his pictures from the PCT and hear stories. It made my heart warm and happy. Ninja also went through Karma's toiletries and medicine. I also soaked my feet in the lake. Fish about eight inches long came right up to see what I was doing.  It was a neat experience and made me happy.  I love it out here.  If I could hike everyday for the rest of my life I'd be happy.  Even with the pain it's amazing.  The people you meet on the trail are some of the most genuine people.  I love this community and I am blessed to be apart of it.
