Today was a big day! We walked into New Jersey! What an incredible feeling. I've walked from Virginia to New Jersey!!! Wow. I am feeling so amazing. I mean my body hurts but I am in high spirits.

We hiked up Kittatinny Mountain all together. When we got to the top there was a nice surprise for us. A glacial pond! It's one of the 7 Natural Wonders of New Jersey and I can see why. It was incredible. The pictures don't do it justice. I would have loved to stay all day, lay by the pond, and soak in all the good vibes but there was still hiking to be done.
We were going to go 14 miles but stopped short at the Mohican Outdoor Center because it looked like it was going to storm. It hardly rained but we were happy we stayed. The showers were great and the hang out area for hikers was warm and had comfy couches. I met Christmas Tree today, a thru hiker all the way from the peach state who was humble and amazing. I asked him questions about his thru hike so far and it was really amazing to hear some of his experiences. I won't forget him, and I thank him for the great conversation and his kindness. We also found out that Teddy Bear was going home for a family emergency. We hope the best for him. He is a nice man.

Smudgy Cheeks and I had another disagreement today and we came to the conclusion that it would probably be better for all of us if we split up. He never hikes with us anyway (he’s always ahead of us during the hike at day time). I think it will be good for him to gain some independence and learn more about himself. I hope he makes it all the way!
Our tent site was right next to a beautiful lake.
