Bubbles Day 44 (May 10th, 2016)

Today I woke up saw that Karma was stirring in her sleeping bag and leaned over and whispered "Mele Kalikimaka" in Karma's ear.  We both giggled like school girls. This is one of the million reasons why I love Karma. We can be silly together and it's always a good time. I wanted to keep the mood light because today we are going over Lehigh Gap.  A very steep incline and at some parts almost a vertical climb.  I was nervous but even more nervous for Karma because she is afraid of heights.  We went up that mountain like professionals and worked as a team.  It's such a great feeling to have met such lovely people that we love being with so much.  We all stuck together and it made the whole experience really memorable.

We ended up staying in Mechanical Man's garage for the night. It was so nice to take a shower and he took us to town to get some food.  Kunkletown was awesome.  The food was amazing. We got a sub for tomorrow and it is massive!  I am really excited about it.

We met Rabbit in the garage before we left for dinner. He is a really sweet and genuine guy who started in Georgia.  I was so happy to meet him and wish we were hiking the same pace so I could get to know him better.  He has a blog going (http://www.trailjournals.com/entry.cfm?id=533022)  Birk was also at the garage and was nursing a sore knee. She did half the trail last year and is trying to complete the rest this year.  I hope her knee heals quickly!

When we got back to the garage we sang Abba songs and Mountain Man played the guitar and harmonica for us.  It was awesome and made me so happy.  Mechanical Man’s son came down and played the guitar for a little while too. It was a great day.
